This phone has received an award for being the least durable smartphone of 2024.

Zack Nelson from the well-known YouTube channel JerryRigEverything has revealed which phones are the most and least durable of 2024.

Zack Nelson, known for his popular YouTube channel JerryRigEverything, recently revealed which smartphones are the most and least durable of 2024. With extensive experience in assessing device toughness, he has conducted thorough analyses of several new phones over the years, subjecting them to various tests including scratches, burns, and bends.

In a presentation surrounded by several smartphones and tablets destroyed during his tests over the past year, Nelson designated the Huawei Mate XT as the least durable smartphone of 2024. This model stands out for having an extremely soft and exposed central screen when closed, which, according to him, makes it susceptible to collecting dust and stones. Nelson describes the experience of carrying this phone as "like carrying a raw egg in your pocket." While he acknowledges that the design of the Mate XT is "super attractive," he emphasizes that its durability is questionable.

During the bending test of the Mate XT, Nelson pointed out that it includes sensors that vibrate to alert the user if it is bending in the wrong direction. In a humorous moment, he remarked that it was the first phone that "pleaded for its life" during this test, just before one of its screens shattered with an alarming sound.

On the other hand, the recognition for the most durable smartphone of 2024 went to the rugged Armor 24. This device, described as extremely tough, has such a level of protection that it could survive being rolled over by a steamroller. Its solid build made it impossible for Nelson to break it during the evaluation.
