Fiio unveils a trio of devices, including a large streamer with a huge touchscreen.
Fiio enhances its high-fidelity audio offerings with the launch of a powerful new network streamer, a DAC/amp for headphones, and a new portable device.
Fiio has unveiled three new devices at CES 2025 that cater to various audio needs. The company has launched an affordable portable player, a powerful headphone amplifier/DAC/transmitter, and its first full-sized network music streamer, which features an impressive 7.8-inch touchscreen. All three devices will be available towards the end of January.
The Fiio S15, priced at $1,000, is the brand's first full-sized streamer. Its size is maximized by integrating a large touchscreen that occupies almost the entire front panel, displaying the Fiio operating system, based on Android 12. This device, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, features a combination of AK4191+AK4499EX DACs and allows for storage expansion with an M.2 hard drive slot. It also incorporates a digital audio purification system (DAPS) developed by the company, designed to work at both system and application levels, capable of matching PCM and DSD music sampling rates. In terms of connectivity, the S15 offers multiple options both wired and wirelessly, including coaxial, optical, and HDMI connections, as well as Bluetooth transmission and reception.
On the other hand, the FiiO K17, priced at $900, is a headphone amplifier that provides 4000mW per channel and can also function as a streamer. Its 3.93-inch touchscreen instantly displays VU meters and has the capability to access streaming, Bluetooth, and local USB playback. It shares the same AKM DAC chips as the S15 and features numerous digital and analog inputs and outputs, including an RCA input for turntables. It comes with a remote control and can also be customized through the FiiO Connect app.
Finally, the Fiio JM21, priced at $149, revisits the nostalgia of iPod players. At 13 mm thick and with a battery life of 12 hours, this portable music player, operating on Android 13, is thinner than many previous models. Equipped with two CS43198 DACs, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of expandable storage up to 2TB via MicroSD, it allows for much more content storage and playback than its predecessors. It also features two headphone outputs: one 3.5 mm and another 4.4 mm. Not all specifications have been revealed yet, such as support for Bluetooth or native DSD file playback, but the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 and has a 4.7-inch display.
