The Science Saru series of The Ghost in the Shell presents a new teaser trailer.

Next year, a new Ghost in the Shell anime will be released.

A new advance of the anime series The Ghost in the Shell has been presented, developed by the animation studio Science Saru. The teaser was announced through the official Ghost in the Shell website and was discovered by several specialized media outlets. The publication also revealed part of the creative team that will lead the project, which includes individuals who have collaborated on other titles from the studio, such as Scott Pilgrim Takes Off and Dandadan, both productions available in the United States through Netflix.

The trailer features a series of hand-drawn storyboards and key animations that evoke the aesthetic of the original manga, which may be a relief for those who were not satisfied with the 2017 live-action film starring Scarlett Johansson or the CG animated series on Netflix.

The direction of The Ghost in the Shell will be handled by Moko-chan, known for their work on Dandadan. Additionally, the team includes writer EnJoe Toh, who is responsible for Godzilla Singular Point, and character designer and animation director Shuhei Handa, who is also in charge of the poster illustration. While it has been confirmed that the series will premiere in 2026, it has not been specified whether it will be available on Netflix in the United States, as has been the case with other productions from this studio.
