The office comedy "Mythic Quest," available on Apple TV+, will conclude after four seasons. The series, which explores the creation of a popular online role-playing game, will see the release of a new version of the final episode of its fourth season, originally aired on March 26. This new version, now considered the official series finale, will be released on the platform next week and will feature a different ending.

Television fans are familiar with the frustration of a show being canceled prematurely, and often feel relief when the creators manage to wrap up the narrative, whether through a shortened final season, a television movie, or by including additional scenes in an already filmed episode. However, what Apple is doing with "Mythic Quest" is unusual, as a new ending will be added to an episode that has already aired.

In a statement, executive producers Megan Ganz, David Hornsby, and Rob McElhenney mentioned, "With Apple’s approval, we made a final update to our last episode so we could say goodbye, rather than just ending the game."
