The best trailers from the PC Gaming Show: unsettling aliens, strategic turtles, and desktop platforms.
In case you missed it.
The recent edition of the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted showcased a variety of interesting announcements and exciting trailers, particularly focused on independent developments. This event highlighted the creativity of developers, showcasing projects that range from a reinterpretation of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to a platformer where players jump between computer windows. Below is a selection of the standout titles presented during the event.
Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault
The sequel to Moonlighter follows in the same vein as the original game, which combined action RPG elements with shop management. In this new installment, players must escape from an alternate dimension. The Endless Vault is expected to launch in 2025 for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown
One of the most surprising reveals was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tactical Takedown, developed by the independent studio Strange Scaffold. This game is presented as a tactical turn-based experience, designed for quick yet meaningful gaming sessions. The story unfolds in a context without the iconic characters of Shredder and Splinter. Its release is anticipated on PC in 2025.
Cairn
Cairn is an adventure and survival game focused on climbing, which has already sparked the interest of players. Now, interested individuals can try it out with a free demo available on Steam.
Sol Mates
There aren't enough cooperative games, and Sol Mates, from Daruma Games, promises to be a fantastic addition. This title supports up to four players, both locally and online, who must survive in the vastness of space by performing "odd jobs throughout the galaxy." It will launch in early access next year.
The Legend of Baboo
Described as an emotional tribute to Middle Eastern fables, this game blends elements of adventure, action, and puzzle-solving, featuring a large, furry dog that players can ride. Players will take on the role of a child and their dog, developing a relationship throughout the game. The release date is scheduled for 2025 on PC and Xbox.
Abyssus
The term "brinepunk" was introduced thanks to Abyssus, a cooperative shooter set in the underwater ruins of past civilizations. The game will utilize brine-powered technology, and its alpha phase will begin on December 6, with a full release expected next year.
MainFrames
This innovative platformer offers players the experience of jumping through a PC desktop interface, rearranging icons to solve puzzles, and facing bosses controlled by the operating system. Its release is scheduled for March 6 on both PC and Nintendo Switch.
Deepest Fear
Developed by Variable State, known for games like Virginia and Last Stop, Deepest Fear is an immersive sci-fi horror title that evokes elements from Alien and The Thing. It combines Metroidvania-style level design with first-person simulation mechanics. Although it does not yet have a release date, Deepest Fear will come to PC when it's ready.
Blue Prince
With a visual style reminiscent of a more colorful version of Myst, Blue Prince is a game that combines mystery, strategy, and puzzle elements in an unpredictable journey through Mt. Holly, a mansion with ever-changing rooms. So far, no release date has been announced, but it is expected to be available next spring.
