The ambitious mobile game Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is set during the fourth season of the series.

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is a new mobile game set in the events of the HBO series, which will be released sometime next year.

In the recent edition of The Game Awards 2024, the official trailer for Game of Thrones: Kingsroad was showcased, a new mobile title developed by Netmarble and WB Games, based on the successful HBO series. Although the mobile format might deter some, this project promises to be more ambitious than one might think. Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is a third-person action RPG inspired by a preview previously shown by Netmarble at G-Star in November.

According to a press release accompanying the announcement, the game is set in the fourth season of the series and will allow players to create a character who becomes the heir of House Tyre, a noble lineage from the North. This will immerse players in the political struggles of Westeros and the fight against the White Walkers, with the opportunity to interact with iconic characters like Jon Snow. Character customization will allow players to choose between different classes such as Mercenary, Knight, or Assassin, which will influence the real-time combat experience.

Although Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is a mobile title, its combat mechanics resemble more those of games like God of War: Ragnarok than those of other existing mobile games. This release joins a trend of mobile games with a more polished and ambitious approach, similar to what has been seen with titles like Monster Hunter Outlanders. However, the implementation of microtransactions could be decisive for the player's experience, and details on how they will be integrated have not yet been revealed.

As for its release, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is expected to launch in 2025 and will be available in North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East for iOS and Android devices.

Additionally, during the event, Catly was presented, an open-world game that stands out for its photorealistic representation of cats, scheduled to launch in 2025 on PC, Nintendo Switch, and, surprisingly, on Apple Watch. Although the trailer captured attention with its stunning feline graphics, few details were provided regarding the game's mechanics.

Another major announcement was the cinematic trailer for The Witcher IV, presented by CD Projekt, which revealed that this new installment will place Ciri in the leading role as a monster hunter, although no release date has been set yet. The trailer offers some familiar visual elements and shows a more mature Ciri facing a sacrificial ritual.

Finally, Hazelight unveiled Split Fiction, the sequel to It Takes Two, a cooperative game that combines science fiction and fantasy. Scheduled for March 6, 2025, it will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This new title follows two aspiring writers and, like its predecessor, will focus on cooperative gameplay, allowing the stories of both worlds to come to life through its narrative.
