CD Projekt Red has started the pre-order for Ciri's Lynx Medallion, which is part of The Witcher 4. This new medallion was presented in the first cinematic trailer of the game, revealed during the Game Awards 2024.
The item description highlights: "Ciri is ready to take her first steps on the path of a witcher. Join her with The Witcher’s Lynx Medallion." This medallion is made of zinc alloy with a precise galvanic coating, and its detailed design is intended to alert about any magic or monsters in the vicinity. Additionally, it includes a 75 cm chain and a black pouch for secure storage.
The pre-order for The Witcher’s Lynx Medallion is available on the CD Projekt Red Gear websites for the U.S. and the EU, priced at $40 / €40. According to information from the developer, orders will start shipping in April 2025.
The initial trailer for The Witcher 4 confirms long-circulated theories, revealing that Ciri, Geralt of Rivia’s adopted daughter, will be the protagonist, and her story will mark the beginning of a new saga in the series. Game director Sebastian Kalemba mentioned that they want to explore what it means to truly become a witcher, following Ciri's path. "This trailer is a glimpse of that and how dark and realistic the world of The Witcher can be."
Additionally, it has been announced that the game, previously known as Project Polaris, is being developed with Unreal Engine 5 technology and has entered large-scale production.
