Subnautica 2 will dive into early access next year with cooperative mode.

Unknown Worlds announced that Subnautica 2, which will include a cooperative gameplay option for the first time, will be released in early access and on Xbox Game Preview next year.

In 2025, Subnautica 2, which is actually the third game in the series, will enter early access through Xbox Game Preview and will be available from day one on Xbox Game Pass. Developed by Unknown Worlds Entertainment and published by Krafton, the game will also be released on Steam, Windows Store, and Epic Games Store on the same day. The game community has been working hard to create this new Subnautica experience, seeking to involve fans in the development process.

Despite its designation as "2," this title significantly expands the universe of the previous entries, Subnautica and Subnautica: Below Zero. For the first time, players will be able to explore beyond Planet 4546B, discovering new creatures, environments, and biomes, along with innovative tools for base building. While the trailer presents a colorful atmosphere, it also suggests the presence of imminent dangers.

Subnautica 2 will also introduce a cooperative mode for four players, which will be activated simultaneously with early access, allowing friends to join the adventure from launch. It is not necessary to have played the previous entries to enjoy this one, and those who are already veterans will find plenty of new features.

The community is eager for more information to be revealed as the release date approaches.
