PlayStation kicks off 2025 with a new State of Play.
All the new PlayStation games set to be released in spring 2025.
Sony has revealed that it will host a presentation to showcase a new series of games coming to PlayStation. This event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 12, at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET and will last approximately 40 minutes. The presentation is anticipated to highlight a "creative and unique selection of exciting games from studios around the world."
Sony's announcement comes shortly after Nintendo held its own presentation, where it finally unveiled its upcoming console, the Switch 2. Meanwhile, Xbox conducted a Developer Direct focused on gaming, which included the confirmation of the release of Ninja Gaiden 4 and the arrival of the remaster of Ninja Gaiden II.
It is worth noting that this news follows a recent significant outage on PlayStation Network that occurred over the weekend, which resulted in subscribers receiving a few extra days on their accounts.
During the event, updates are expected on Ghosts of Yotei, the sequel to Sucker Punch Studios' Ghosts of Tsushima, which was announced at Sony's presentation in September 2024. Additionally, Ubisoft may present Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, a title that has faced two delays and now has a new release date set for March 20. Furthermore, new information about Insomniac Games' upcoming Wolverine game could be revealed, which, despite details leaking from a hack, has not received an official update since its announcement in 2021.
More details about what PlayStation has in store for this year will soon be revealed.
