Nintendo will finally add GameCube games to Nintendo Switch Online for the upcoming Switch 2 console.

"When will I be able to play 'Chibi Robo' again?"

Nintendo fans have received exciting news: GameCube games are now available for Nintendo Switch Online subscribers. During a recent livestream, it was announced that players will be able to enjoy classic titles that are celebrating their 20th anniversary. Additionally, a new dedicated GameCube controller was introduced, featuring an updated "C" button to enhance the GameChat experience.

Among the GameCube games that will be available to play on the Nintendo Switch Online service are classics like The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, SoulCalibur II, and F-Zero GX. While Nintendo has stated that they will be adding more titles to this library over time, it has not yet specified which games those will be or how frequently they will be released.

It is worth noting that Nintendo has already made significant remasters of some of GameCube's most recognized titles, such as Metroid Prime. This suggests that, instead of offering these games through Nintendo Switch Online, they may choose to sell remastered versions separately. It is also important to point out that these games will only be available to those using the new Switch 2 console.

The arrival of a new console is not only celebrated for recent games but also for the opportunity to relive some of Nintendo's best experiences from the past.
