NASA will hold a live broadcast on Twitch from the ISS.
A stream in space.
NASA is preparing to host a live broadcast on Twitch from the International Space Station (ISS), marking this as its first transmission from space. The event is scheduled for February 12 at 11:45 AM ET on NASA's Twitch channel. During the broadcast, astronaut Don Pettit, who is currently aboard the ISS, will join Matt Dominick, who returned to Earth in October.
The astronauts will share details about "daily life aboard the space station and the research conducted in microgravity," allowing viewers to interact and ask questions. According to statements from Brittany Brown, director of the Digital Communications Office and Technology Division at NASA headquarters in Washington, this event is just the first of several planned. Brown mentioned that they have had discussions with digital creators during TwitchCon, highlighting their interest in content that considers their communities. In addition to activities related to spacewalks, launches, and landings, more exclusive Twitch broadcasts are anticipated.
Both Pettit and Dominick are known for sharing stunning photographs of space on their social media, making their work an added attraction for those following the broadcast and wishing to learn more about their experiences in space.
