MySims: Cozy Bundle is perfectly suited for Nintendo Switch.
The cult classic for Wii, MySims, is coming to Nintendo Switch, and what we've tested so far suggests that it’s an ideal combination.
During a recent event, it was revealed that MySims, a lesser-known title that was released during the Nintendo Wii era, will be making its return with MySims: Cozy Bundle. This package will include both the original game and MySims Kingdom, introducing some modern updates aimed at attracting both new players and fans of the series.
In a hands-on demonstration, the game retains its original essence, allowing players to create a character and build their home from scratch. Although the beginning unfolds similarly to the initial version, one of the main changes that fans will notice is the new control scheme. While the original relied on motion controls, the new version has adapted to a standard controller. Although this transition may be a bit confusing, as the joystick acts as a pointer that must be moved across the screen to interact with elements, this could change with the use of the Nintendo Switch’s touchscreen, which promises to facilitate menu navigation and home customization.
From a visual standpoint, Cozy Bundle does not make a radical change to the game's chibi appearance, but it significantly improves image clarity. The lines are smoother and visual artifacts that occasionally appeared in the original game have been eliminated, resulting in a more polished experience.
The game maintains its basic formula, allowing players to immerse themselves in the life of a small town, collect essences, and customize their surroundings. For those who did not have the chance to experience MySims upon its release in 2007, this is an excellent opportunity to enjoy an experience similar to Animal Crossing. MySims: Cozy Bundle will be available on November 19 for Nintendo Switch.
