After a year since its launch, Starfield, one of the standout titles for Xbox Series X, has released its first major expansion titled Shattered Space. This new content offers the opportunity to explore uncharted planets, encounter new factions, and add weaponry to your arsenal. However, since the game’s universe is vast, many players may feel lost when looking for where to start with the DLC. Fortunately, there are simple steps that will make beginning this new adventure easier.
To start the Shattered Space DLC, first ensure you have purchased and downloaded it. The steps to follow are:

Complete the mission "One Small Step": Whether using a recent save or an older one, you need to have completed this mission, which is the first one in the game and introduces you to Constellation. It takes about an hour to finish if you haven’t done it yet.

Access your ship: Once inside, select any orbit on the map that does not have an active mission associated with it.

Jump to the chosen location: By doing so, you will automatically receive a distress call from a space station called The Oracle, indicating that you can begin the DLC.
While it is possible to start this expansion at any time, it is recommended to do so from level 35 to fully enjoy the experience.
