Gmail for iOS incorporates an AI assistant to simplify the management of your inbox.

The question and answer feature of Gmail has the ability to summarize emails and find information.

Google has begun to implement support for iOS for its Q&A feature in Gmail, which offers users an AI assistant powered by Gemini to help manage their inbox. This option was previously introduced for web and Android devices, providing a more accessible way to find specific information that may be buried among emails and documents in Google Drive.

Users have the ability to interact with the Gmail chatbot to make inquiries about the contents of their inbox or their connected Google Drive. This includes searching for misplaced contact information or company data. Additionally, the Q&A feature allows users to summarize emails on a particular topic, display unread messages or emails from a specific sender, and answer general questions directly from the Google search within Gmail.

However, it is important to mention that this feature on iOS, like in the web and Android versions, is restricted to subscribers of Google One AI Premium or Google Workspace accounts that have the Gemini Business, Enterprise, Education, or Education Premium add-ons. Google has announced that it is in the process of rolling out this feature to the mentioned groups, although its availability may take a few weeks to be visible to everyone.
