The 'best mobile browser' from Arc is now available for Android.
The wait for Arc Search on Android is over.
After a long wait, Android users can now try out the Arc Search app. It has been launched as an open beta in the Google Play Store, following developers hinting at an Android version back in August. Arc is The Browser Company's entry into the web browser space, standing out by offering more customization options compared to other similar apps. The app includes an artificial intelligence feature called "Browse for me," which conducts web searches to answer queries and provides a summary based on various sources.
Additionally, Arc Search features automatic archiving of old tabs, ad blocking by default, and the removal of pop-ups for data tracking, which is appealing for those considering switching from browsers like Edge. Although Arc was initially launched as a Mac-exclusive browser, the Arc Search app became available for iOS devices in January and Windows in April.
In a recent interview, Josh Miller, co-founder and CEO of The Browser Company, noted that they plan to introduce a paid product that will incorporate "additional functionalities" into the app. "We see Arc Search as the complementary app to the desktop product... but the intention of Arc Search is to be the mobile browser for the desktop browser," Miller explained.
