Earfun launches headphones that translate in real time.
The Earfun AirPro 4+ enhances that formula by incorporating a real-time translation feature based on artificial intelligence.
The Earfun brand, known for providing affordable audio solutions, surprised attendees at CES 2025 by unveiling a wide range of six new products, including, for the first time in its history, clip-on and open-ear headphone models. Additionally, they have upgraded their flagship wireless headphones by incorporating a real-time translation feature powered by artificial intelligence, set to be available in the first half of 2025.
Among the new offerings are:
-
Earfun AirPro 4+: Priced at $100, these headphones will be launched in May 2025. The AirPro 4+ improves upon its predecessor by offering real-time translation thanks to AI and features a speaker system that promises a richer sound experience using "Nano Lateral Acoustic Architecture" technology. It also includes compatibility with codecs like LDAC and aptX Adaptive, Bluetooth Multipoint connectivity, and an impressive battery life of up to 54 hours.
-
Earfun OpenJump: Released on January 21, 2025, for $80, these open-ear headphones are designed for comfort and have an IPX7 rating, making them water-resistant. They incorporate 3D surround sound technology and can provide up to 11 hours of playback, totaling 42 hours when using the charging case.
-
Earfun Clip: Expected to be available in March 2025 for $70, this model features an ear-hook design, perfect for those who wear glasses or have long hair. With an IP55 rating, these headphones are resistant to water and sweat, offering up to 7.5 hours of playback time.
-
Earfun Tune Pro: Also releasing in March 2025 for $70, this over-ear model features active noise cancellation, unusual dual drivers, and an incredible battery life of 120 hours. Despite its modern technology, it lacks LDAC support but ensures a rich and customizable sound experience through its app.
-
Earfun Wave Life: This second over-ear model, priced at $60 and launching in February 2025, features a 40mm driver and also supports USB connection for high-quality digital sound. Its battery lasts up to 60 hours and offers a low-latency gaming mode.
-
Earfun UD100 Auracast USB Dongle: Priced at $20 and available in May 2025, this dongle allows smartphones to share audio using Auracast technology and is compatible with various Qualcomm audio codecs. However, it does not support Sony's LDAC codec, limiting its use on some devices.
With these innovative proposals, Earfun aims to solidify its presence in the competitive headphone market by offering products that combine advanced technology with affordable prices.
