BritBox presents its lineup of new and returning TV series for 2025.
Since the cancellation of "From Douglas" to "Towards Zero" by Agatha Christie, these are the premieres that BritBox subscribers will be able to enjoy on the platform in 2025.
BritBox has revealed its programming for 2025, establishing itself as the streaming service of choice for enthusiasts of British television. With just a few weeks left in 2024, the platform shared a 90-second preview showcasing the new and highly anticipated shows that will be added to its catalog. Highlights include "Douglas is Cancelled," starring Hugh Bonneville and Karen Gillan, and an adaptation of Agatha Christie titled "Towards Zero," featuring Anjelica Huston and Matthew Rhys.
The trailer also includes footage of new seasons from beloved series such as "Vera," "Karen Pirie," and "Blue Lights." Robert Schildhouse, president of BritBox in North America and general manager of BritBox International, stated that they are looking forward to an exciting year with high-quality productions crafted to thrill both existing followers of the platform and new audiences. He mentioned that from creative reimaginings of familiar stories to drama-filled surprises, BritBox will offer captivating narratives with complex characters.
The year will kick off notably, with season 14 of "Vera" premiering on January 2. In that same month, season 12 of "Father Brown" will be released, and new programs such as "A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story," "Ludwig," and "I, Jack Wright" are set to debut in February, March, and May, respectively.
