This month, seven new titles have been added to the service, all free of ads and in-app purchases. Among them is "Skate City: New York," which offers an authentic skateboarding experience in iconic real-world locations. Also notable is "Gears & Goo" for Apple Vision Pro, a game that combines tower defense with classic base-building elements while leveraging the interactivity provided by spatial computing. Additionally, the collection welcomes "Three Kingdoms HEROES," the latest installment in the popular Romance of the Three Kingdoms series created by Koei Tecmo.
Among the launches are acclaimed titles from the App Store, such as "FINAL FANTASY+," which is a remastered 2D version of the classic series, and "Trials of Mana+," a successful action RPG adapted for mobile. There are also "Rodeo Stampede+" and "It’s Literally Just Mowing+," offering relaxing and entertaining experiences.
Starting February 6, "PGA TOUR Pro Golf," the first officially licensed PGA TOUR game for Apple Arcade, will be available, expanding the range of sports titles that players can enjoy with friends and family. Other games launching that day include "Doodle Jump 2+" and "My Dear Farm+."
In addition to the new offerings, significant updates will be announced for popular games such as "What the Car?", "Game Room," and "Hello Kitty Island Adventure." From January 19 to February 24, the "Luck & Lanterns" event, celebrating Lunar New Year, will feature new outfits, decorations, and more surprises for players.
On another front, Apple is focusing on developing a smart doorbell that will integrate Face ID facial recognition technology, as part of its efforts to evolve its offerings in the smart home space following the cancellation of its automotive project. It is rumored that this new proposal could serve as a control hub for other devices connected to HomeKit.
In the gaming world, Sega is considering launching its own subscription service for games while assessing how it can enter a market increasingly competitive with companies like Xbox and PlayStation. Sega's president, Shuji Utsumi, has mentioned that the company is in discussion about this option, although no concrete details have been provided.
Finally, Apple has decided to cancel a subscription service for the iPhone that had been planned over two years ago. This service aimed to offer users the possibility of paying a monthly fee to access a new iPhone each year, but it seems that the project has been definitively discarded.
