You will need a label if you want to make parodies on X.com.

X.com has introduced labels to identify parody accounts, allowing users to clearly recognize what they are being exposed to.

The social network X, formerly known as Twitter, will implement labels to identify parody accounts, aiming to prevent abuse by users impersonating famous figures or unrelated individuals. The announcement states that these labels will clearly distinguish this type of account and the content they generate, which seeks to increase transparency within the platform.

Through these labels, both on profiles and in posts, the aim is to prevent users from being misled into believing that these accounts are authentic. The company also mentioned that details on when the use of these labels will be mandatory for parody accounts will be announced soon.

This change aligns with Elon Musk's statement in 2022, warning that accounts parodying others would need to be clearly marked or face the possibility of permanent suspension.

In other news, it has been reported that the Google and Apple app stores may remove TikTok following a bipartisan request from two U.S. lawmakers, marking an increasingly tight deadline for ByteDance's app in the United States.

Meanwhile, Instagram has begun rolling out a feature that allows users to create a collage of their best photos of the year to share in their Stories. This option will only be available until the first week of January and allows users to combine multiple images into an attractive format.

Finally, Google is preparing an update for Android 16 that will enhance the quality of photographs taken in low light conditions. The new night mode indicator API will allow applications to automatically detect low light and optimize camera settings to capture clearer images with less noise.
