ZTE unveils the Nubia Neo 3 series for gamers and the Flip 2 foldable at MWC 2025.
With a player-oriented design, ZTE's new line of phones features RGB lighting, an efficient cooling system, and innovative chipsets.
ZTE has reintroduced its Nubia brand at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) with significant launches expected for 2025. In addition to the flip-style foldable phone presented last week, the company also unveiled the Nubia Neo 3 series, which is focused on gamers. These phones feature RGB lighting and hidden triggers in the device's frame, designed to enhance the gaming experience.
The Neo 3 series models include additional features specifically designed for gamers. Among these are their striking RGB lighting options and a variety of appealing designs. They also have an efficient cooling system, which is crucial for maintaining optimal phone performance during long gaming sessions. The Nubia Neo 3 has been primarily conceived with gamers in mind, with the Neo 3 GT being the most advanced model in the range, offering a notable capacity of 12GB of RAM and 12GB of virtual RAM that the operating system can utilize from storage memory.
What is even more remarkable is its UNISOC T9100 5G processor, a relatively unusual choice given the dominance of Qualcomm and MediaTek in the market. This model also features a 1080p OLED display and a massive 6,000mAh battery. On the other hand, the more standard Neo 3 is equipped with a UNISOC T8300 processor and has 8GB of physical RAM. Both models also include game triggers and a linear haptic feedback motor.
Additionally, both smartphones incorporate the new AI Game Space 3.0 functionality, which allows users to customize gaming modes and adjust performance according to their preferences.
A standout launch is the Nubia Flip 2, a foldable device that will compete in the market with other phones like the Motorola Razr series. This new model features a rectangular screen on the front and a larger display on the inside. Equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 7300X processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage, it is perceived as a premium and well-built device, although in line with other current foldable phones.
Although ZTE Nubia phones are not the most well-known, they are excellent options for those seeking a powerful phone without overspending. All these devices will be available in the coming months, highlighting the Nubia Flip 2, which will launch at a price of 62,080 yen, equivalent to approximately $410, initially only in Japan.
