Twitter, now known as X.com, experiences its third service outage of the day: what's happening?
In a real situation that took place on a Monday, X faces their third interruption of the day, while thousands of users around the world are reporting difficulties.
X is experiencing serious connectivity issues, affecting thousands of users globally. This Monday, the platform has had multiple outages, starting with an initial report at 2:30 a.m. PDT / 5:30 a.m. EDT, where users began to indicate that "X is down." Although the service temporarily regained normalcy, issues resurfaced at 6:30 a.m. PDT / 9:30 a.m. EDT, generating a second wave of complaints.
The problems are not limited to the app but also affect the website, where some users are unable to access it, while others are struggling with slow load times. As of this morning, three significant peaks in reports have been recorded:
- 2:30 a.m. PDT / 5:30 a.m. EDT: First signs of issues on X.
- 3:30 a.m. PDT / 6:30 a.m. EDT: X becomes inaccessible for most users.
- 6:30 a.m. PDT / 9:30 a.m. EDT: Second wave of users reporting outages.
So far, there has been no official statement from X, CEO Linda Yaccarino, or owner Elon Musk. Yaccarino's last activity on the platform was the previous day, while X's account has not published anything since March 7. Although Elon Musk has been active on the platform, he has not commented on the current service situation.
This latest downtime appears to be the longest so far. While some users indicate that the platform may be recovering, many continue to report access difficulties.
To try to understand the cause of these outages, Grok was contacted, who admitted that there have been previous failures, but in their last update, they assured that the system was operational. However, in the search for more information, the service stopped working again.
