Finally, the blockade on X.com is lifted.

Blocked users will not be able to communicate with the person, although they will still have the ability to see their posts.

The promise of X.com has finally materialized, as the restrictions imposed by the blocking feature are being modified. From now on, users who have been blocked will be able to access the posts of the person who blocked them, although they will not be able to interact in any way. This means they will not be allowed to follow the account that blocked them, comment on its posts, or send direct messages.

A previous version of X's support page stated that blocked users did not have the option to view the follower lists of the person who blocked them. However, this information has been updated, and users are now allowed to access the follower and following lists of those who have blocked them.

According to the company, this new feature is part of an effort to promote transparency. It is argued that the blocking function can be used to share harmful or private information about others, and this reconsideration aims to mitigate such behaviors. However, the effectiveness of this measure is questioned, as X also offers the option of private accounts, which further complicates the management of shared information.
