Trailer for Hurry Up Tomorrow: The Weeknd's World is Crumbling.

After the successful release of his album, The Weeknd stars in the psychological thriller "Hurry Up Tomorrow," which already has a trailer.

The trailer for "Hurry Up Tomorrow," a psychological thriller set to premiere in 2025, has revealed an intriguing glimpse into the world of the artist known as The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye. In this Lionsgate production, Tesfaye plays a fictionalized version of himself, grappling with a state of insomnia that brings him to the brink of a mental collapse. During his internal struggle, he encounters a mysterious woman, played by Jenna Ortega, who takes him on a journey that challenges the very foundations of his existence. In an intense scene, Ortega's character apologizes while Tesfaye is seemingly incapacitated in a bed, declaring, "I know this is all very intense, but I'm not trying to hurt you."

The film is directed by Trey Edward Shults, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside Tesfaye and Reza Fahim. Shults has mentioned that the work focuses on an artist facing a critical situation for his mental health. This film represents the director's fourth feature, following previous works such as "Waves," "It Comes at Night," and "Krisha."

"Hurry Up Tomorrow" is inspired by The Weeknd's eponymous album, which will be released on January 31, 2025. This album is announced as the last under the moniker The Weeknd and concludes a trilogy that includes "After Hours" from 2020 and "Dawn FM" from 2022. The album is expected to sell over 350,000 copies in its first week, positioning it as Tesfaye's fifth number one album.

This project marks Tesfaye's return to acting after his involvement in "The Idol," an HBO series that received mixed reviews. "Hurry Up Tomorrow" will hit theaters on May 16, 2025.
