The improvements of Monster Hunter Wilds for PS5 Pro have been detailed, which will include three different graphics modes on the console.
Each mode will offer different frame rates.
Capcom has shared details about the enhancements that Monster Hunter Wilds will have on PS5 Pro. These improvements were presented after a special event that offered a new look at the video game, which is set to be released soon.
For PS5 Pro, three performance modes have been confirmed: Resolution Priority, Balanced, and Framerate Priority. The first two modes will allow the use of ray tracing, while the Framerate Priority mode will not support it. Each mode will yield different frames per second rates. The Resolution Priority mode will run at 30FPS, the Balanced mode at 40FPS, and the Framerate Priority mode will reach 60FPS. However, it has been noted that the frame rate may drop in situations of high system load.
Additionally, the AI scaling technology of the PS5 Pro, known as PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), will enhance the visual quality of Monster Hunter Wilds, ensuring "an ultra-smooth image" during gameplay.
Regarding the second open beta test of Monster Hunter Wilds, it will begin on February 6 and run for two weekends until February 16. Players who download the open beta client will be able to try out some of the game's features in advance, such as a training area designed exclusively for solo play, private lobbies, and an online single-player mode, in addition to facing the main monster, Arkveld. Elements from the previous beta test conducted in November will also be included, such as the character creator, story trial, and a hunt for Dogshagma.
Monster Hunter Wilds is set to launch on February 28 for PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
