Apple CEO Tim Cook has hinted at the launch of a new device in the Air line for this week. In a post on X, Cook shared a brief video that mentioned, “There's something in the air,” accompanied by the phrase, “This week.”
While he did not specify which device will be released, many speculate it to be a new MacBook Air. According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing to unveil 13 and 15-inch MacBook Air models featuring an upgraded M4 chip sometime this month. Last year, around the same time, the company introduced its MacBook Air with the M3 chip.
Additionally, there are rumors about other Air-branded devices that Apple may be working on. Gurman previously mentioned that the company planned to launch iPad Air models and keyboards close to the announcement of the iPhone 16E, which debuted last month. Recently, Gurman noted that Apple has begun to reduce its inventory of iPad Airs, suggesting that a new launch is on the horizon.
There have also been rumors about a new "Air" iPhone model, although it seems premature for it to be announced this time.
