The Resident Evil 2 remake will arrive on Apple devices in December.
Face the evil Umbrella corporation and its undead creatures in the revamped version of Resident Evil 2 for Apple Silicon devices.
Fans of zombie survival games will have a new opportunity to enjoy one of the most acclaimed titles in the series. Capcom's remake of Resident Evil 2 will be available on the Apple App Store and the Mac App Store starting December 10. However, not all Apple devices will be able to run the game; an iPhone 16, an iPhone 15 Pro, or an iPad or Mac with an M1 chip or later will be required.
Users will have the chance to try a small portion of the game before deciding whether they wish to purchase the full experience. According to a statement from Capcom, the game will include features like "universal purchase" and "cross-progression" that will benefit all compatible devices.
The Resident Evil 2 remake will offer improved controls for touch screens, as well as an optimized version for Mac. Additionally, characters Leon and Claire will include a new "Auto Fire" feature, allowing players to automatically shoot at approaching enemies.
This title joins the lineup of Resident Evil games available on Apple devices, which includes other titles such as Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, Resident Evil 4, and Resident Evil: Village, all available on the App Store and the Mac App Store.
