The Pixel Watch 4 could have a thicker design and feature wireless charging.
A leaker has revealed rendered images and a video of the upcoming Google Pixel Watch 4. This new model appears to be somewhat more robust than its predecessor.
The recent arrival of the Pixel Watch 3 has generated growing interest in the next device in this line. An industry leaker known as OnLeaks (real name Steve Hemmerst) has collaborated with 91mobiles to share images and a video rendering of the upcoming smartwatch. Surprisingly, its appearance is very similar to that of the Pixel Watch, maintaining the distinctive round design, although it seems to be somewhat thicker than its predecessor. Additionally, the screen edges appear to be slightly thinner, while the overall design remains mostly unchanged. However, this is not considered negative.
Nevertheless, some minor changes in the hardware have been observed that point to new features. For example, the watch lacks the four pins on the back, suggesting the possibility of supporting wireless charging, unlike the Pixel Watch 3, which charges through a USB-C port. It also features two buttons on either side of the speaker, although their specific function is not yet known. The increased thickness could be hiding a larger battery, which would be very well received.
The next Google watch is expected to be unveiled later this year, likely alongside the Pixel 10 series. While there aren't many concrete details about the specifications yet, it has been reported that it will feature a new chipset. The Pixel Watch 3 uses a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1, while some rumors suggest that the company is working on its own Tensor chip for the Pixel watches, although this may not be ready until the Watch 5.
