The new season of Fortnite includes heists, pickles, and Cowboy Bebop.

The new season of Fortnite, titled "Lawless," features a unique focus on theft and crime. This chapter, the sixth of the second season, allows players to engage in activities such as bank heists, armored vehicle robberies, and train heists occurring across the island. Additionally, surprisingly, there is a giant pickle that raps.

After a season inspired by Japan, "Lawless" seems to echo titles like Grand Theft Auto. New features include various locations, highlighting an urban area simply referred to as "Crime City." Other notable elements are: golden water that grants powers when swimming in it; a fictional cryptocurrency that allows the purchase of gear, although it resets after each match; black markets for acquiring high-caliber weapons; a scanner to identify enemy locations; and a crime boss who has a habit of showing up in the middle of a heist. There is also the option to choose a specific song to play when landing on the map or winning a match, emulating the entrance of a professional wrestler.

For those who purchase this season's battle pass, a group of criminals fitting the theme is offered, along with the aforementioned pickle, known as Big Dill, and the strange inclusion of Sub-Zero from Mortal Kombat. Starting March 1, a series of missions inspired by Cowboy Bebop will be launched, while costumes for Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine will be available in the item shop from February 28.

The "Lawless" season will run from today until May 2. Aside from the typical battle royale sounds, Fortnite has been diversifying in recent months, incorporating a local multiplayer mode into its musical mode, launching a new shooter mode reminiscent of Counter-Strike, and creating a social Lego game inspired by GTA roleplaying.
