Delta Air Lines has announced that its CEO, Ed Bastian, will be one of the keynote speakers at the upcoming CES 2025, one of the world's leading technology events. This event will take place from January 7 to 10, 2025, in Las Vegas, and Bastian's speech will be held at the Sphere, an innovative entertainment venue that has hosted performances by artists like U2, The Eagles, and Phish, as well as a film by director Darren Aronofsky.
In his presentation, Bastian will reveal how Delta plans to leverage three cutting-edge technologies within the Sphere facility. The first is the Exosphere, considered the largest LED panel in the world, followed by an interior screen known for having the highest resolution globally. The third technology is Sphere Immersive Sound, an ultra-advanced audio system that utilizes HOLOPLOT technology. These tools were designed to "connect with key audiences, using innovative technologies to deliver a unique experience and amplify their message," as stated by Jennifer Koester, President and COO of Sphere.
With this presentation, Delta is participating for the third time at CES, having previously attended in 2020 and 2023. At the 2020 event, the airline showcased innovative technologies such as "Parallel Reality with participation options," which allow personalized messages to be sent to multiple passengers simultaneously. Bastian's speech is scheduled for 5 PM PT / 8 AM ET on January 7. Those interested in attending in person must register for CES 2025, although the keynote requires an additional ticket.
