Bluetti Unveils Two New Flagship Home Energy Storage Kits and Beyond.
More power in various forms (for more money).
Bluetti has unveiled its new energy storage systems, EnergyPro 6K and Apex 300. The EnergyPro 6K is designed as a fixed solution for whole-home energy backup, while the Apex 300 offers a modular option to provide portable power in various situations, whether at home, in an off-grid cabin, at a job site, or during an RV trip. Both systems have the capacity to scale in power and storage to meet individual needs.
This launch is part of Bluetti's rebranding process, which now classifies its products into three series of energy solutions: EnergyPro, which requires professional installation; Apex systems, aimed at advanced energy demands; and the Elite line, which includes portable power stations and solar generators for more casual use.
The Apex 300 can provide a maximum output of 3840W in AC power and has a storage capacity of 3072Wh using LFP batteries. It can also be paired with B300K, B300, and B300S batteries, in addition to future expansion batteries that have yet to be announced. This model has a standby power consumption of 20W, which is quite efficient for a large inverter that can handle both 120V and 240V loads simultaneously.
Additionally, multiple units of the Apex 300 can be connected in parallel, allowing the maximum output to be increased to 11.52kW, sufficient to power nearly any home device or an electric vehicle. The storage capacity can be expanded up to 58kWh using three units and 18 battery packs, enabling the operation of a home for several days in the event of a power outage, or indefinitely if only critical devices such as the refrigerator, HVAC systems, and water pumps are powered. This system supports up to 30,720W of solar input and is expected to be available in April in the United States.
On the other hand, Bluetti describes the EnergyPro 6K as “a reliable, affordable, and cost-effective home energy solution, ideal for small and medium households.” Its configuration ranges between 5.8kW and 29kW of power output, and between 7.68kWh and 38.4kWh of storage with LFP batteries. It is designed to seamlessly integrate with existing rooftop solar systems. It can be paired with Bluetti's AT1 smart distribution box to provide backup to critical circuits throughout the home and to enable automatic transfer to a backup generator when needed. Furthermore, the company has begun speculating about an EnergyPro 13K system, which would offer between 13.2kW to 39.6kW of output and between 9.6kWh to 57.6kWh of storage capacity. The EnergyPro 6K is expected to launch in the second quarter of 2025.
No prices were provided in the announcement, but both systems are anticipated to start in the thousands of dollars range, or even tens of thousands, when considering fully custom installations.
