The Lyriq-V is Cadillac's first high-performance electric vehicle.
The V-Series line will arrive for Cadillac electric vehicles.
Cadillac is introducing a new high-performance version of its fully electric Lyriq SUV. The 2026 Lyriq-V, which is the luxury brand's first electric vehicle to carry the V-Series badge, will initially be available in North America, Australia, and New Zealand, with plans for expansion to other markets later. Specific details regarding the launch date or price have not yet been revealed, but it is expected that 2026 model vehicles will be available in approximately a year.
In an email statement, Katie Minter, Cadillac's production communications representative, indicated that the company plans to share more information about the features and specifications of the Lyriq-V in early 2025. While details about the Lyriq-V are sparse at the moment, General Motors has mentioned that vehicles in the V-Series lineup will come standard with all-wheel drive and offer "instant acceleration," a common feature in electric vehicles that allows them to deliver torque immediately.
In March, Cadillac unveiled an all-electric V-Series vehicle concept called "Opulent Velocity," as part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of this sub-brand. V-Series models are available across various Cadillac vehicles, including the Escalade.
The Lyriq, which was first launched in 2022, is not only Cadillac's first electric vehicle but also its most affordable to date, with a starting price of $59,990 (RWD), including destination charges, but before taxes and licensing and dealership fees. Other electric vehicles from the brand include the exclusive and costly Celestiq sedan and the Escalade IQ. Later this year, the company plans to launch the entry-level Optiq model, while the Vistiq, a three-row SUV, is expected to arrive early next year.
