The first PlayStation Plus games of 2025 include The Stanley Parable and Suicide Squad.
This month, PlayStation Plus subscribers can enjoy free games like Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, and other titles.
Sony has announced the first PlayStation Plus games available to all subscribers in 2025, regardless of their service level. Among the standout titles this month are Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered, and The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe. While they may not be the most thrilling games, The Stanley Parable remains a classic, despite being an older title, as it was first released in 2011 as a mod for Half-Life 2. The game later had a full release in 2013, and the Ultra Deluxe version made its way to modern consoles in 2022.
The original creators, Davey Wreden and William Pugh, developed this Ultra Deluxe edition, which features an expanded script and changes that the developers have not fully detailed: "Everything you remember has been recreated, but somehow it’s different. We’ve been here before, haven’t we?" Overall, this version expands the original experience with more options, dialogues, and decisions for players.
Need for Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is also a classic title; originally released in 2010, it was updated for PS4 in 2020. This version offers race modes for both racers and police, allowing players to choose which side of the law they wish to represent. Additionally, it includes multiplayer modes and all the downloadable content released for the original game.
On the other hand, the most recent of the featured games is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, a live service game that has faced multiple delays, received mostly negative reviews, and cost Warner Bros. approximately 200 million dollars. To make matters worse, the developers announced that the current content season will be the last, although there are no plans to shut down the game at this time. Since it was launched last February, its lifespan has been quite short. Despite this, players have the opportunity to try it without having to pay the 70 dollars it still costs.
All these titles will be available starting January 7 for PS Plus subscribers, and there is still time until that date to add December's games to the library.
