The Find My Device app for Android can now also locate people.

The Google Find My Device app has evolved to resemble Apple's.

Google has implemented an update to its Find My Device app for Android, which now allows users to view a map with contacts who share their location. This new feature was introduced as part of the March feature update and is now available to a larger number of users.

Prior to this update, friends and family could share their location via Google Maps. However, with this enhancement to the Find My Device app, finding both objects and people is simplified into a single interface. Additionally, the map also displays the locations of friends using Google Maps on iOS devices.

Within the app, users can access the new "People" tab, where the locations of those contacts who have chosen to share their location information are displayed. There are also options to adjust the duration for which the location is shared with others.

With this new design, Google's interface resembles that of Apple's Find My app, which offers a similar split-screen interface, with a map at the top and devices or people displayed at the bottom, depending on what is being viewed.
