The early access stage of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will not feature full ray tracing.

Players with early access will have to wait a little longer to try it out.

Buyers opting for the Premium Edition or Collector's Edition of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will have early access to the game today at 7 PM ET; however, they will not have the option to experience full ray tracing at this initial stage. This feature will be added on December 9, the official release date of the game for all users.

According to an announcement from Nvidia, after the implementation of this update, the game will significantly improve its image quality through proper representation of shadows, reflections, and global illumination, thanks to full ray tracing. Additionally, it is anticipated that DLSS Ray Reconstruction technology will also be available soon.

For those who purchased early access, the lack of these graphical options may be disappointing, especially considering the high cost of access, which is $99.99 for the Premium Edition, a $30 increase over the standard price of $69.99.

The game already has considerable hardware requirements for PC, demanding hardware ray tracing even at minimum settings. Jim Kjellin, CTO of MachineGames, explained that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle uses a global illumination technique to set the environment and characters, which requires compatible hardware to operate optimally and with high fidelity.

Additionally, Great Circle will be available on Xbox Series X/S consoles and will launch on PS5 in spring 2025.
