The CEO of Stripe ensures that its top leaders conduct customer interviews twice a month.

The digital payment platform Stripe has invited its customers to participate in bi-weekly meetings with the management team in order to receive "honest feedback."

The digital payment platform Stripe has begun inviting its customers to participate in management team meetings every two weeks in order to receive “honest feedback,” according to its co-founder, Patrick Collison. In a message posted on April 8 on a social network, the company’s CEO mentioned that one customer joins the first 30 minutes of each meeting, which is attended by approximately 40 Stripe leaders.

Collison noted that while there are already several mechanisms in place to gather customer opinions, this approach consistently generates new ideas and insights. This strategy is notable considering that Stripe, founded in 2010, is regarded as the world’s most valuable private fintech company, achieving a recent valuation of $91.5 billion.

Over the years, some startups have expressed concerns that Stripe seems to focus more on its larger clients, sidelining the smaller ones, who were initially its main target. Nevertheless, the company appears to be achieving significant growth. In an annual letter published in February, Collison highlighted that payment volume in 2024 reached $1.4 trillion, a 38% increase compared to the previous year. He also mentioned that currently, half of the companies on the Fortune 100 list use its services, underscoring Stripe's evolution from a startup to a major player in the industry.

In response to an inquiry from the CTO of Cloudflare regarding an invitation for their company, Collison expressed his desire to include them in the future. However, one investor raised concerns about attention to small businesses, stating that he had tried to contact support unsuccessfully and describing his experience as “confusing.” Despite the criticisms, the initiative received praise, with users noting that this measure helps maintain a culture focused on what truly matters. Prominent founder Elon Musk also showed his support by focusing the discussion on Twitter with a brief comment: “Good idea.”
