The $150 Withings blood pressure monitor receives FDA approval and is now available.

The Withings BPM Vision has received FDA approval and is now available in the United States. Here are all the details.

Withings has announced that its BPM Vision blood pressure monitor will be available in the United States starting April 2, after successfully passing the FDA's stringent approval process. This device was unveiled at CES 2025, and although obtaining FDA approval is usually a long and often uncertain process, Withings managed to meet its goal of launching the monitor in April. However, the final price is slightly higher than initially planned.

The BPM Vision is an FDA-approved blood pressure monitor designed to be user-friendly and accessible to a broader audience compared to its predecessor, the BPM Connect. The main unit features a 2.8-inch LCD screen and physical buttons to confirm actions. It guides the user through the entire measurement process, automatically performing three readings as recommended by doctors. Additionally, the cuff comes in various sizes, ranging from 9 to 22 inches, and multiple profiles can be created on the device for use by different family members.

Once the readings are taken, the results are displayed on the screen and transferred to the Withings app via Wi-Fi. From the app, reports can be generated and shared with healthcare professionals. If users opt for the annual $100 subscription to Withings+, they gain access to the Cardio Check-Up service, which allows them to schedule an appointment with a healthcare professional within 24 hours.

Originally, the BPM Vision was expected to cost $130, but the final price is set at $150, which is also higher than the cost of the BPM Connect, which ranges from $100 to $130. The device will be available on the Withings website in April, and will subsequently be available on Amazon and other retailers in May. The BPM Vision joins other innovative methods of measuring blood pressure, such as some Samsung Galaxy smartwatches and the unusual Huawei Watch D2. Additionally, there are rumors that Apple is developing a blood pressure monitoring feature for the Apple Watch in 2025.
