Several companies showcased robotic vacuums with mechanical arms at CES 2025.

Roborock is not the only company that unveiled a robot vacuum with a mechanical arm at CES 2025.

Dreame has revealed that it is also developing a vacuum robot equipped with a mechanical arm, joining the trend that began with Roborock. This new device, which is still in prototype stage, was showcased at Dreame's booth during CES 2025.

Despite being just a prototype, the arm's appearance is considerably more robust compared to Roborock's Saros Z70 vacuum. Dreame's arm is noticeably thicker and features a broader "claw," suggesting it could lift heavier objects (while Roborock claims its model can handle loads of up to 300 grams).

Although the device was not shown in action capturing objects, the arm was seen moving, extending and retracting several times. This prototype seems to share characteristics with the X50 model, particularly in its ability to lift off the ground on "legs," similar to what Dreame's X50 vacuum does to navigate stairs.

A representative from Dreame indicated that they have been working on the development of this prototype for some time but chose to accelerate their plans to present it at the fair. This push appears to be a reaction to the competition, as Dreame's booth is located directly across from Roborock's, which features a large replica of the Saros Z70 with an arm.

Next year, we may witness an intriguing battle between the arms of these robotic vacuums.
