Crunchyroll Manga: What You Need to Know About the New Service.

Crunchyroll has announced that it will launch a new subscription service in 2025, called Crunchyroll Manga, which will allow users to enjoy manga.

Sony Group Corporation has revealed at CES 2025 that it will launch a new digital manga app, which will be integrated into the Crunchyroll service as a premium option. The app, called Crunchyroll Manga, will be available independently on both iOS and Android, with plans to offer web browser support in the near future.

Rahul Purini, president of Crunchyroll, explained that this new platform aims to be the primary resource for anime fans to access the catalogs of recognized publishers, allowing users to enjoy works that have inspired the most popular animated series. "Our goal is to add more value to the Crunchyroll membership by complementing our extensive anime library, alongside Crunchyroll Game Vault and a diverse selection of products in Crunchyroll Store," Purini commented.

An analysis indicates that nearly 70% of anime enthusiasts read digital manga at least once a month, highlighting the high demand for this format. Crunchyroll Manga will not only respond to this growing interest but also strengthen the rising popularity of anime and manga globally.

The launch of Crunchyroll Manga will initially be in English in the United States and Canada, although more languages are planned. Subscription prices will be $7.99 for the Fan level, $11.99 for Mega Fan, and $15.99 for the Ultimate Fan level.

In another area of entertainment, the series Dexter also has news. Dexter Morgan returns in Dexter: Resurrection, a sequel that aims to repair the franchise's reputation after endings that disappointed many of its followers. This announcement was made during a panel at Comic-Con San Diego 2024 and surprised both fans and critics.

The plot of the new project suggests that, despite what happened in Dexter: New Blood, Dexter's story is not over. Michael C. Hall made an intriguing reference during the panel, hinting that more is to come. How his return will be explained remains a mystery, but it seems that the narrative will pick up right where New Blood left off.
