Hulu's Guide to Getting Ready for the Oscars

The most anticipated event in cinema, the Oscars 2025, will take place this month, and fans will have the opportunity to watch the ceremony streaming on Hulu as part of its March 2025 programming. Currently, all the nominated films for Best Picture are available on various streaming platforms, but Hulu has decided to go a step further by adding seven Oscar-winning films the day before the ceremony, scheduled for March 2.

Among these films are titles that have made a significant impact on both audiences and critics. Although time is short to watch all the films before the awards, it will definitely keep the excitement for the Oscars alive in the days leading up to the event.

One of the films premiering on the platform on March 1 is The Social Network, directed by David Fincher. This biopic about the creation of Facebook won three Oscars, including Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score, and Best Film Editing, although it missed out on the Best Picture award. Based on the book The Accidental Billionaires by Ben Mezrich, it narrates how Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg launches a modest project that becomes a media empire, facing lawsuits that threaten his success.

Another film arriving on the same day is Birdman, directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu. This film, which follows the life of a fading actor, took home three Oscars, including Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. The story of Riggan Thomson, a former superhero trying to revive his career through a Broadway play, captures the conflict between artistic identity and the pressures of show business.

Jojo Rabbit, directed by Taika Waititi, will also join the lineup. This dramedy focuses on a ten-year-old boy who, through his imaginary friend Adolf Hitler, explores his life as a member of the Hitler Youth while uncovering dark secrets in his own family.

Bohemian Rhapsody, directed by Bryan Singer, portrays the rise of the iconic band Queen and its leader, Freddie Mercury. The film, which won awards for Best Actor and Best Film Editing, depicts the highs and lows of Mercury’s life and the cultural impact of the music.

Other notable films will include LA Confidential, Crazy Heart, and Good Will Hunting. LA Confidential, a crime thriller set in 1950s Los Angeles, won awards for Best Screenplay and Best Supporting Actress. Crazy Heart, which tells the story of a down-and-out country musician, also won the Oscar for Best Original Song. Good Will Hunting, on the other hand, is the story of a mathematical genius who works as a janitor at MIT and receives help from his therapist, leading him to discover his potential.

These films will be available on Hulu starting March 1, just in time to keep the Oscar excitement alive.
