Revealed for the first time in 2016, the action RPG Lost Soul Aside finally has a release date and will launch on the same day as Elden Ring: Nightreign.

After nearly a decade since its initial announcement, Lost Soul Aside has finally received a release date. This highly anticipated action role-playing game, inspired by titles like Devil May Cry and Final Fantasy 15, will be available for PlayStation 5 and PC on May 30, 2025. The news was revealed during the latest Sony State of Play event, where a new trailer showcasing the game's story was also presented.
Originally conceived as an individual project by director Yang Bing, Lost Soul Aside was introduced to the world in 2016 and has evolved with the support of its studio, Ultizero Games, and PlayStation. The latest trailer highlights the game's intensity, inviting players to embark on an epic odyssey to save the protagonist's sister and humanity from dimensional invaders.
The game's description emphasizes its visual style and combat mechanics, where players will be able to chain quick combos, learn new skills, and upgrade their weapons while facing powerful enemies and massive bosses in dynamic battles. In a related blog post, Yang Bing shared that developing Lost Soul Aside has been like "painting with imagination on a canvas of science fiction and fantasy." He also described the game's landscapes as "vibrant," featuring sunlit plains, ancient mysterious ruins, and energy-filled alternate dimensions.
The playable protagonist, Kaser, showcases a fluid and fast fighting style, using a changing weapon that adapts to the player's combat style, whether for sword attacks, ranged combat, or swift movements.
Pre-orders for the Standard and Digital Deluxe editions of Lost Soul Aside will begin on February 19, 2025. Users who pre-order will receive bonuses including Kaser's original outfit, an initial in-game currency package, and a set of healing potions. The Digital Deluxe edition will include the game, an exclusive golden outfit for the Arena, three unique skins for weapon shards, two in-game accessories, a digital soundtrack, and an art book, along with the pre-order bonuses.
