Release date of part two of season 5 of Yellowstone streaming on Peacock.

Yellowstone, the acclaimed drama series created by Taylor Sheridan, will finally see the arrival of its final episodes of the fifth season on streaming platforms. Part 2 of Season 5 will be available exclusively on Peacock starting March 16. Although the show aired on Paramount Network, it is not available on Paramount+. However, earlier episodes are available on Peacock thanks to a licensing agreement with NBCUniversal.

Following the airing of the first part of Season 5's finale in January 2023, the series faced internal issues, largely due to an alleged conflict between Sheridan and the lead actor, Kevin Costner. A report in February 2023 mentioned that Sheridan and Paramount were looking to conclude the series in its current format and plan a new one with Matthew McConaughey, although this latter project did not materialize. Tensions continued for over a year, mainly related to Costner's filming schedule and his commitment to Horizon: An American Saga, until he officially announced his exit from Yellowstone in June 2024.

Part 2 of Season 5 focuses on two main story arcs: the death of John Dutton and the struggle to preserve the Yellowstone Dutton ranch. The cast for this season includes Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, Kelly Reilly as Beth Dutton, Wes Bentley as Jamie Dutton, Cole Hauser as Rip Wheeler, Kelsey Asbille as Monica Long Dutton, and Gil Birmingham as Chief Thomas Rainwater.

Throughout its airing, Yellowstone established itself as one of the most popular shows on cable television. Sheridan has also developed two prequel series, 1883 and 1923, and a new spinoff titled The Madison is expected later this year. Additionally, Reilly and Hauser have reached agreements to reprise their roles in a future derivative series. All seasons of Yellowstone are currently available on Peacock.
