PocketPair Publishing received over 150 submissions in one week.

Pocketpair launched its new publishing division last week and has received great interest since then.

Pocketpair has recently launched a new division dedicated to video game publishing, which has generated an astonishing response in just one week. During this short period, the company received over 150 game proposals, while its manager, John Buckley, reported receiving more than 1,500 connection requests on LinkedIn in the first 24 hours. At this early stage, they have signed a third-party project with Surgent Studios, known for the game Tales of Kenzera: Zau. Additionally, the development of two more titles has been hinted at, although no official announcements have been made yet.

Despite the significant initial interest, Pocketpair has noted that its application reception process remains open, inviting developers to learn more through their website. The company expressed on a social platform that they are impressed by the support they have received from creators and that they are committed to evaluating each proposal. In the message, they indicated that, although they cannot help everyone, they are dedicated to contributing to the creation of as many great games as possible.

The title from Surgent Studios that is underway will be a horror game, although no specific details have been provided about it. This studio is owned by actor Abubakar Salim, known for being the voice of Bayek in Assassin's Creed: Origins. Despite the lack of concrete information, Pocketpair stated that the release is scheduled for this year.

Palworld, Pocketpair's standout game, has seen remarkable success since its launch last year, despite facing copyright infringement allegations and an ongoing lawsuit with Nintendo. The company has managed to innovate within the creature-catching concept, allowing it to stand out in a relatively saturated market. While it is early for their new publishing branch, Pocketpair is in an ideal position to help numerous games come to light in the future.
