New iOS 18 Features We Anticipate for 2025
Large amounts of Apple intelligence.
The start of a new year brings with it the anticipation of the features that will be included in iOS 18, expected to launch in 2025. Although details are limited, several interesting additions are anticipated for this version of the operating system that debuted in 2024.
One of the most notable innovations will be the priority notifications feature. Thanks to Apple Intelligence, iOS 18 will be able to use artificial intelligence to categorize notifications based on their importance. This means you will receive the most relevant alerts first, relegating those of lesser urgency to a secondary level.
Additionally, Siri will receive significant updates, expanding its functionality in 2025. One of the new features will be its ability to remember information from previous messages and calendar events, allowing it to provide more contextual responses. Siri will also have the ability to identify what appears on the screen, facilitating more intuitive interactions.
Improvements are not limited to Siri, as there will be an increase in control over applications. This update will allow Siri to manage a greater number of third-party apps and exercise more precise control over Apple’s applications, meaning you could ask it, for example, to edit and share a photo with a friend.
Finally, the arrival of new emojis is also on the horizon for 2025. Although this may not be the most groundbreaking addition, it is expected that some of the emojis approved in 2024, such as a harp, a leafless tree, and a shovel, will be incorporated into next year's update.
