Microsoft introduces a new ergonomic keyboard, although its price is high and it was manufactured by Incase.
The split ergonomic keyboard makes its comeback.
Incase, the brand responsible for Microsoft’s accessory line, has introduced a new compact ergonomic keyboard designed by Microsoft. This wireless keyboard is priced at $119.99 and features a split and contoured design, as well as a padded palm rest and a dedicated button for Copilot.
The keyboard is equipped with “ultra-responsive” scissor-switch keys that have a travel distance of 1.3 mm, meaning you don't have to press too hard while typing. It can connect to up to three devices via Bluetooth and runs on two AAA batteries, which Incase claims can last up to 36 months.
After Microsoft discontinued its non-Surface peripheral line in 2023, Incase partnered with the company to revive its designs using the same components and supply chain. While Incase's new ergonomic keyboard is similarly priced to the Logitech Ergo K860, which costs $129.99, it remains considerably more affordable than high-end ergonomic options like the Nuio Flow and the ZSA Voyager, which are priced at $365.
Incase has announced that the keyboard will be available in early 2025 and plans to launch several other accessories designed by Microsoft, although it currently only offers two models of mice and a Bluetooth keyboard for sale on its website.
