The all-star players will participate in a new tournament format at the Chase Center in San Francisco.

The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will give fans the opportunity to witness some of the biggest names in basketball competing in a new tournament format. This event will take place on Sunday, February 16, at the Chase Center in San Francisco, with a scheduled start time of 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT / 1 a.m. GMT on Monday / 12 p.m. AEDT on Monday).

For the first time, the game will transform into a three-game tournament among four teams. Three of those teams will feature eight All-Stars each, while the fourth group will consist of the winners of the Rising Stars tournament, which includes first and second-year players. In each game, the first team to reach 40 points will be declared the winner.

Despite this change in format, the selection of elite players remains impressive. Among the representatives from the Western Conference are Nikola Jokic, Kevin Durant, LeBron James, who will make his 21st consecutive appearance, and Stephen Curry. On the other hand, Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo will not be able to participate in the event due to injury, but the Eastern Conference will still be well represented by Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young, Jayson Tatum, and Jalen Brunson from the Boston Celtics, as well as Karl-Anthony Towns from the New York Knicks.

For those interested in following the event online, different streaming options will be available depending on their location. In the United States, fans will be able to watch the game on the associated streaming platforms. In the United Kingdom, TNT Sports will broadcast the event at 1 a.m. GMT on Monday, and non-subscribers can access a premium Discovery+ pass or consider the NBA League Pass, which offers a seven-day free trial. In Australia, the event will be aired on ESPN and can also be followed on the Kayo Sports streaming platform.

During the All-Star weekend, various events will take place, starting with the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game on Friday, February 14, followed by the Rising Stars and All-Star practice on Saturday. Different contests will take place, such as the Skills Challenge, the Three-Point Contest, and the Dunk Contest, culminating with the All-Star Game.

Regarding the Dunk Contest, Orlando Magic player Mac McClung stood out by winning for the second consecutive year, achieving a perfect score of 50 on each of his attempts. His performance included a spectacular jump over a vehicle, solidifying him as one of the most exciting competitors in the contest.
