Guide to Respec Skills in Avowed
It doesn't take long in your adventures in Avowed before you start acquiring more skills than you can fit in your quick selection bar. Here's how to reassign your skills.
The proper use of all skills in Avowed is crucial for optimizing the gameplay experience. From the start, players have healing potions and mana potions available in their quick selection bar, alongside the first unlocked skill and the first skill of a companion. While this is useful at the beginning, soon there will be new skills that you’ll want to add in those slots. Although all skills can be accessed through the tactical menu, the process can be cumbersome, so here we explain how you can reassign your quick skills.
In Avowed, you have four quick selection slots on the controller and six on the PC, where you can place consumables, skills, and companion abilities. The process for changing these assignments is simple and only takes a few seconds, so you can modify it as many times as you wish.
- Open the tactical menu and select the skill you want to place in your quick selection bar.
- With the skill highlighted, press the corresponding direction on the controller's D-pad or any of the keys 1 to 6 on the keyboard to assign it.
- Exit the tactical menu, and the new skill will replace the one that was previously in that slot.
In addition to skills, you can also assign potions, consumables, and companion abilities in any of these slots. It is suggested to keep health potions assigned at all times, but there are no restrictions on what you can place there.
