Live PlayStation Concert Brings Video Game Music to a Global Audience.
PlayStation continues to celebrate its 30th anniversary with a new series of concerts worldwide, featuring music from titles such as God of War, The Last of Us, among others.
Sony is celebrating the 30th anniversary of PlayStation with a series of concerts that will bring the music from some of its most iconic games to different parts of the world, starting with the UK and Europe in April next year. This event, titled PlayStation: The Concert, will feature musical pieces from notable PS5 titles such as God of War, The Last of Us, Ghost of Tsushima, and Horizon.
The experience promises to be visually stunning, featuring high-tech production that will include "multilayer visualizations" using LED and projection. While not many details have been provided on how these features will be implemented, it has been indicated that they will showcase "iconic moments" from the games. To enhance the experience, surround sound will be offered to immerse attendees in the event.
The concert series will kick off in Dublin, Ireland, on April 19, 2025, and will travel to several European cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, Hungary, Poland, and Norway during May. Subsequently, the tour is planned to reach the United States and other locations, though specific dates and venues beyond 2026 have yet to be announced.
Fans wishing to attend any of these events will be able to purchase tickets starting October 18, using the code PLAYCONCERT24 to access a presale on October 16. The PlayStation anniversary celebration takes place on December 3, the date that coincides with the release of the first PlayStation console in Japan. The company has also announced special editions of consoles and accessories, along with gifts for gamers such as My First GT, a free trial of Gran Turismo, and digital soundtracks that have never been released before. Additionally, it will launch some board games that incorporate the iconic PlayStation shapes, such as triangles, Xs, circles, and squares, available from December 9.
