I tried the Asus Zenbook Duo (2025) with dual screens as my daily laptop for a week, and here is my opinion.
The new version of Asus's dual-screen laptop features improved battery life, although some software issues persist.
The Asus Zenbook Duo (2025) features significant hardware upgrades, including a next-generation Intel processor and improved battery life. This device stands out with its attractive design, which includes two 14-inch OLED displays that offer extraordinary visual quality. However, the software experience can be frustrating due to its complexity.
The main advantage of this model is its meticulous construction and impressive OLED screens. Hardware features like the Intel Arrow Lake processor and 32GB of RAM keep the Zenbook Duo competitive against other high-end laptops in 2025. Despite this, the user experience is compromised by the Windows 11 operating system, which is not optimized for touch screens, and Asus's suite of applications, which offer interesting functions but are difficult to manage.
The Zenbook Duo also comes with a detachable wireless keyboard that allows for a variety of ergonomic configurations. However, the way functions are managed with the dual screens presents a steep learning curve, resulting in somewhat clumsy interactions and occasional errors. Users can enjoy capabilities that a conventional laptop cannot offer, but they must be prepared to face various drawbacks in exchange.
In terms of pricing, the Zenbook Duo (2025) is available for $1,699 in the United States. This is considered a good value when taking the quality of the hardware into account. Although the price of £2,099 in the UK is higher, it's partially justified by the additional 2TB storage in that version.
Battery life is decidedly better than expected for a device with two OLED screens. Under rigorous testing, approximately eight and a half hours of use was achieved, providing an all-day usable experience, although it does not compare to other laptops on the market with greater longevity.
While the Asus Zenbook Duo (2025) presents several advantages, it also has disadvantages in terms of software and ease of use. It is often recommended for those who truly need the unique features provided by the dual-screen system and are willing to manage its limitations.
