Starting April 8, the ASUS ROG Spatha X wireless gaming mouse is available on Amazon for $124.99, representing a 17% discount from its regular price of $149.99. In the past, I believed that having more buttons on a mouse was merely a show of power for MMORPG players who assign macros to each button. However, after trying the ASUS ROG Spatha X, I have become a true believer in this idea.

This mouse features 12 programmable buttons, a 19,000 DPI sensor, and a magnetic charging dock that looks straight out of a sci-fi movie. While its current price of $124.99 might seem high, considering the number of features it offers, I believe it’s a fair price for a device that seems destined for space travel.

In terms of performance, it works both wired and wirelessly, and its 2.4GHz connection doesn’t cause frustrating lag. Its optical sensor provides incredible precision and speed, reaching up to 19,000 DPI—something I probably will never need, but it's exciting nonetheless. Plus, it allows for quick DPI adjustments via a control on the wheel, without the need for complicated menus.

The way it charges is also impressive. It comes with a magnetic dock that could become an icon of a futuristic movie. Regarding battery life, this mouse can operate for up to 67 hours on a full charge, or you can charge it for just 15 minutes to get 12 hours of use. To put it in perspective, even my plants need more care than that.

This mouse has a button layout that is ideal for those who enjoy MOBAs or simply don’t want to stretch to reach keyboard shortcuts. Additionally, the switch sockets allow you to change the mouse switches without the need for soldering tools. I haven’t done it yet, but knowing I can is fantastic.

And, of course, it includes customizable RGB Aura lighting, because if your mouse doesn’t shine like a disco ball, are you really gaming?
