Hisense unveils a competitor to the Sony Bravia Theater Quad ahead of CES 2025.
Hisense kicked off CES 2025 by unveiling its new wireless home theater system, the HT Saturn, featuring Dolby Atmos technology.
Hisense has previewed its new HT Saturn home theater system just ahead of CES 2025. This wireless sound system is a 4.1.2 model that includes four speakers and a subwoofer, working with a small HDMI ARC/eARC output box device as a transmitter, similar to what Sony offers with its Bravia Theater Quad. Details about the price and availability of the HT Saturn have yet to be disclosed.
Hisense's sound system is complemented by two features that may appeal to Hisense TV owners. On one hand, it includes an automatic sound calibration system that allows for greater flexibility in speaker placement. On the other hand, its Hi-Concerto feature enables the TV speakers to share audio playback with the wireless speakers, reminiscent of Sony's S-center central channel technology. However, these features are only compatible with "some" models of Hisense televisions, and an official list of compatible models has not yet been released.
The HT Saturn is compatible with any TV that has HDMI ARC/eARC or optical output, and it also connects via Bluetooth and includes an HDMI input. Similar to other Hisense sound systems, it can be controlled and set up using the remote control of a Hisense TV, adding a level of integration for owners of the brand. Additionally, it supports DTS:X and consists of a total of 13 speakers, although the types and sizes of the drivers, apart from the 6.5-inch subwoofer, have not yet been specified. Users will be able to adjust the sound using five available equalization modes, suitable for different scenarios such as movies, music, sports, among others.
The official presentation and the opportunity to experience the sound of the HT Saturn will take place at CES 2025, where the latest models of TVs and other audio and video products from Hisense are also expected to be showcased.
